Stockport’s classic car and motor vehicle show is back in town on August 14th
Following last year’s success, The Hare and Hounds Classic Vehicle Club is once again happy to announce the 2016 event.
Stockport Council is supporting this year’s Stockport’s Classic Car and motor vehicle free event which will take place on Sunday 14th August between 10am-4pm at Stockport Market Place in the town centre.
The event will include a display of over 60 classic vehicles, including the Robinson’s Brewery 1927 Thornycroft and over 25 classic motorcycles.
The Mayor of Stockport will be attending to award trophies to the best presented car and motor cycle.
On the same day the popular Vintage Village is being held and will also feature a collection of vintage vehicles. Admission is £2 for Adults, £1.50 concessions, under 12s go free.
Stockport Market Place is full of places to eat and drink and they will be open to visit.
Councillor Kate Butler, Executive Member for Economy & Regeneration, said: “Stockport Council is delighted to be supporting this event — the Classic Vehicle and Motor Cycle Show will bring people from across the borough down to the Market Place, where there will be lots to see and plenty of places open to visit. The event was a great success last year, and I am confident this year will be the same.”
